La funzione onirica serve per ISTRUIRE la coscienza, grazie alle “immagini oniriche”, dapprima al riconoscimento delle immagini (e senza di ciò gli occhi per quanto funzionanti sarebbero CIECHI*) e successivamente ai loro significati.

Ai significati del proprio Sé.

Senza i quali la coscienza rimane CIECA alla possibilità di comprendere di sé stessa (e non solo).

Cioè la funzione onirica ISTRUISCE , in presenza di una coscienza NON CASTRANTE, nel corso del sonno.

Il sogno fornisce istruzioni alla coscienza del dormiente circa le immagini ed i suoni (che poi l'individuo riconoscerà nello stato di veglia) mentre l’ampliamento della esperienza fornisce invece istruzioni per quanto riguarda il gusto, l’olfatto ed il tatto.

Così come il codice genetico ISTRUISCE le cellule verso il loro sviluppo, secondo il progetto genetico grazie alla mediazione del RNA, così esso ISTRUISCE la coscienza grazie alla mediazione della funzione onirica e della funzione intuizione.

(*) Sarebbe molto interessante capire se la psicoanalisi, ove possibile, potesse aiutare i bimbi sordociechi fin dalla nascita.

La terapia analitica dovrebbe coinvolgere i loro genitori i cui mutamenti psichici dovrebbero poter interagire positivamente nelle gravi patologie sensoriali dei loro figli.

The Dream Function: An English Translation

The dream function serves to instruct the conscious mind through "dream images." It begins with the recognition of images (without which, even functioning eyes would be blind), and then proceeds to their meanings.
These are the meanings of one's Self. Without them, the conscious mind remains blind to the possibility of understanding itself (and not only itself).
In other words, the dream function instructs the non-castrating conscious mind during sleep.
The dream provides instructions to the sleeping consciousness about images and sounds (which the individual will then recognize in the waking state), while the expansion of experience provides instructions about taste, smell, and touch.
Just as the genetic code instructs cells towards their development, according to the genetic plan through the mediation of RNA, so it instructs the conscious mind through the mediation of the dream function and the intuition function.
(*) It would be very interesting to understand if psychoanalysis, where possible, could help children who have been deaf and blind from birth.
Analytical therapy should involve their parents, whose changes would be reflected in the children's development.
